ASICs

Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)

AMS is an Aviation Security Identification Card issuing body.

This means we are able to process and issue an ASIC to those staff requiring Australian or airport-specific ASICs (including white ASICs).

Applying for an ASIC

Original identity documents need to be presented in-person to the AMS ASIC issuing staff.

Examples of ID documents are as follows:

  • Category A: Start of your identity in Australia (e.g. Birth certificate or visa)
  • Category B: Your identity linked by photo and signature (e.g. Driver Licence, Passport)
  • Category C: Evidence of your identity within the community (e.g. Medicare card, debit card, marriage certificate)
  • Category D: Evidence of current residential address – (e.g. utility bill or rates notice)

Note: Category D document is only required if categories A, B or C above do not have your current address.

Applications can be lodged either at our Perth Airport office or at Jandakot Airport with Minovation – an authorised agent for AMS.
