Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate (AROC) Training

Course Overview

Our half day course has been designed in consultation with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and will provide you with the skills and knowledge to broadcast on a VHF Air-band radio.

The course is ideal for individuals who work as an ARO or WSO, but the course can be tailored to suit those in any airline operations role.

The course is a blend of theoretical and practical delivery, plus a General English Language Proficiency Assessment that must be completed during the course.

Prerequisites

It is recommended that individuals attain an understanding of general radio operation and the relevant Civil Aviation Regulations, particularly CAR 83 – Use and operation of radio communication systems by Australian aircraft.

Aviation Reference Number (ARN)

Students will need to apply for or already hold an Aviation Reference Number with CASA prior to attending the course so we can complete your AROC paperwork. Please note we cannot send your application to CASA without your Aviation Reference Number being noted on the paperwork.

Radio Certification

Following the successful completion of this course your endorsed AROC paperwork is forwarded to CASA for the issue of your Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate, which will be posted to your nominated address directly from CASA.
