Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate (AROC) Training
Our half day course has been designed in consultation with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and will provide you with the skills and knowledge to broadcast on a VHF Air-band radio. The course is ideal for individuals who work as an ARO or WSO, but the course can be tailored to suit those in any airline operations role. The course is a blend of theoretical and practical delivery, plus a General English Language Proficiency Assessment that must be completed during the course.
It is recommended that individuals already have an understanding of general radio operation and the relevant Civil Aviation Regulations, particularly CAR 83 – Use and operation of radio communication systems by Australian aircraft.
Aviation Reference Number (ARN)
Prior to the course students will need to apply for and supply an Aviation Reference Number to AMS. Please note we cannot send your application to CASA without your Aviation Reference Number being noted on your application paperwork.
Following the successful completion of this course your endorsed AROC paperwork is forwarded to CASA for the issue of your Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate, which will be posted to your nominated address directly from CASA.
No courses are currently scheduled.
Please note this course is also embedded into our Aerodrome Reporting Officer course.
