Aircraft Refuelling

Course Overview

This two-day site-based course is designed for those businesses that operate their own private aviation fuelling facility and wish to ensure their staff are operating safely and in accordance with current industry practices and standards. We provide services to three of the major aviation oil companies in Australia. Our refuelling staff can provide practical training delivery in most aspects of small fuel facility management and quality control.

This course is recommended for personnel who are responsible for performing fuel quality control checks and refuelling aircraft at their facility.

In alignment with industry expectations and to ensure ongoing competency and currency AMS recommends that participants complete this course every two (2) years.

Blended Learning and Assessment

Course participants are required to demonstrate practical skills and knowledge in guided practice scenarios for the duration of the course. This consists of verbal questioning and verification of trainees’ knowledge and understanding on a group basis.

Post-Course Recommendation

Following this training, it is strongly recommended that students are mentored by a qualified and approved refuelling at their own facility prior to conducting any solo refuelling activities.

Course Format and Requirements

Site based only.  It will be advantageous if the client can provide testing equipment for the practical component (hydrometer, thermometer, metal bucket, glass sample jar, SWDs, syringe, etc.), although this is not essential.

This course is not nationally recognised. Upon successful completion of this course students will receive a Certificate of Participation.
